When setting up your platform, you want to set several settings to ensure that it is configured to your liking. Here are some settings to set at the platform level that are usually important when running your account.
In TUNE, go to Company > Customize Application. In the Settings panel on the next page, click Application to find the settings for your entire platform. We suggest going through the following list of settings as you get started. Don’t worry; none of these settings are permanent; they can be changed at any time.
This article is part of our Background & Setup series.
Company Name
Your organization's name is used throughout the application and in email correspondence with partners and advertisers. You set this name during the sign-up process, but please make sure that this is the name you want to use. We would recommend that you use your company's casual name. For example, use “MyCashAds” instead of “MyCashAds, Inc.”
Remember that changing the company name does not change the default application domain, which uses the ID you set on sign-up (for example, http://NETWORKID.hasoffers.com). The ID value cannot be changed once the account is created.
Support Email
This is the email that partners and advertisers can use to reach out to you on the Feedback and Contact pages in their interfaces. If you enable account management, they can access their account managers' contact information. However, it is a good idea to double-check this setting to ensure you have an email account that can be easily accessed to support your partners.
Language
Not everyone speaks English, and you might focus your business on countries where English is not commonly spoken. We have you covered! With this setting, you can choose from the following 15 languages:
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Czech
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Hebrew
- Italian
- Portuguese
- Romanian
- Russian
- Spanish
- Swedish
- Turkish
If the language you want to use is not listed, or you want to modify the wording for an existing translation, you can do so by clicking Upload custom PO files below the setting. To learn more, check out our article on Internationalization.
Allow Multiple Languages
If you have an enterprise account, this setting lets you set the desired language at the user level. This means partners and advertisers can set their language preferences instead of using the application's default language.
Currency
Like the language setting, you can modify the currency you want for your application depending on the country you are appealing to. We offer 68 of the most commonly used currencies from around the world. Picking a new currency will not do a currency exchange automatically. The value set for revenue and payout in the offers will remain the same.
For example, setting an offer with a payout of $10 in USD to Euros results in a payout of EUR 10. At the time of publication, these are not the same amounts. When changing the currency, update existing offers to the correct payout and revenues that equate to the new currency.
Multiple Currencies
This setting will let you set the currency payout at the offer (for enterprise accounts only). When generating invoices, it will also divide partner and advertiser invoices into different currencies.
Application Time Zone
This setting is very useful when looking at stat and conversion reports to see when clicks and conversions came in. The Data Audit Logs also use these values to determine when a setting changed. This is a very important setting, as the ad server uses this setting to set a timestamp for clicks and conversion instead of using GMT.
We recommend setting your default timezone before driving traffic through your account. Doing so prevents the possibility of overlapping stats due to time changes. Changing this later won’t cause track disruptions, but you may see overlapping stats (if you choose an earlier time zone default) or a gap in stats (if you choose a later time zone).
Partners, advertisers, and other employees can choose their default timezone setting to suit their location, and their stats are adjusted based on this setting.
