Overview
TUNE's bulk promo code tools let you import and remove large volumes of promo codes without adding them one by one. You can upload up to 10,000 codes at a time via a CSV file and assign each code to a partner in the same operation. You can also delete up to 500 codes at a time using the bulk actions option in the Promo Codes table.
These tools are designed for advertisers onboarding to TUNE with an existing promo code inventory, as well as established programs that need to rotate or retire codes across a large partner base.

Bulk Upload via CSV
The Import Promo Codes tool lets you upload a CSV containing your promo codes and the partner each code should be assigned to. You can match codes to partners by partner ID or by partner email address.
- Navigate to the offer you want to manage and click the Promo Codes tab.
- Click Import Promo Codes. The import modal will open.
- Download the CSV template that matches how you want to identify partners — Partner ID Based or Email Based. Use whichever matches the data you have on hand.
- Populate the CSV with your promo codes and partner identifiers. See CSV Format Requirements below for column names and formatting rules.
- Drag your completed CSV into the upload area, or click to browse and select the file from your computer.
- Click Import Promo Codes. You will immediately see a success message confirming the file was received.
CSV Format Requirements
Your CSV must include a code column plus at least one partner identifier column. The valid columns are:
| Column | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
code |
Always | The promo code string to import |
affiliate_id |
Required if not using email | The numeric TUNE partner ID to assign the code to |
affiliate_email_address |
Required if not using partner ID | The email address associated with the partner account |
Include either affiliate_id or affiliate_email_address — not both in the same file. If the file contains any column names outside of these three, the entire import will be rejected.
Example — Partner ID based
code,affiliate_id SPRING25,10042 SUMMER25,10099 WELCOME10,10042
Example — Email based
code,affiliate_email_address SPRING25,partner@example.com SUMMER25,another@example.com
Import Notifications and Errors
Once the import completes, TUNE sends a notification to your account. You can view notifications by clicking the bell icon in the top navigation, or by going to Notifications from the main menu.
Common import outcomes
| Notification message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Import complete — X codes imported successfully | All rows processed without errors | No action needed. Codes are now visible in the Promo Codes tab. |
| No Offer Promo Codes were imported | The entire file was rejected, typically due to invalid column names | Check your CSV column headers match exactly: code, affiliate_id, affiliate_email_address
|
| X codes imported, Y rows failed | Some rows were imported successfully; others had row-level errors | Review the error detail in the notification. Common causes: partner ID not found, code already exists for that offer, or a blank value in a required column. |
Bulk Delete
You can delete up to 500 promo codes at a time directly from the Promo Codes table. This is useful when rotating out stale codes or clearing space before a new import — TUNE enforces a 10,000-code limit per offer.
- Go to the Promo Codes tab for the offer.
- Use the checkboxes to select the codes you want to remove. You can use the header checkbox to select all visible rows, or select individual codes. The search bar can help you filter codes before selecting.
- Once codes are selected, click Disable to remove them.
